We have 30,000+ verified members, facilitate 500+ weddings every month, and operate a layered verification, AI screening and 24-hour human moderation pipeline. How profile verification works
Every profile goes through phone verification at minimum, with optional ID and photo verification on top. Each step is documented below.

Phone verification
Every new account verifies a working mobile number via OTP before posting a profile. Disposable / VOIP numbers are blocked.

Optional ID verification
Members can upload a government-issued ID (Aadhaar, PAN, passport). On successful match against profile name and age, the account receives a Verified ID badge.

Optional photo verification
Members upload a real-time selfie. Our AI compares it against their profile photos and flags mismatches or AI-generated faces. Passed accounts get a Verified Photo badge.

AI image screening on every upload
Every uploaded photo passes through an automated screen for AI-generated faces, harmful content, and sensitive documents. Failed images are blocked before they reach search results.

Behavioural fraud detection
Rapid messaging, off-platform payment requests, inconsistent profile edits and other suspicious patterns auto-flag accounts for manual review.

Human moderation within 24 hours
Every member-submitted report (impersonation, harassment, scam attempt) is reviewed by a trained moderator within 24 hours. Confirmed violations result in immediate account removal.
What we commit to on privacy
These commitments are enforced in our Privacy Policy and Data Protection pages.
- We never sell or share member data with third-party advertisers or data brokers.
- Contact details stay private until the member explicitly chooses to share them with a matched profile.
- Phone numbers are never exchanged for 1-1 video calls — all calls run through MangalyaMatrimony's masked routing.
- Members can hide their profile, restrict who can view photos, and request full account + data deletion at any time.
- Only anonymised interaction signals (accept / decline patterns, search behaviour) are used to improve AI matchmaking — never personal identifiers, photos, chat messages or contact details.
