Every uploaded photo is automatically checked by an AI image-moderation service for nudity, weapons, alcohol and drugs, offensive symbols and graphic violence. Photos that fail are blocked.
Transparent compatibility score
A 0–100% score showing how well each of you fits the other's partner preferences across 10 weighted factors — religion, mother tongue, age, caste, marital status, education, height, diet, smoking and drinking.
10-Porutham horoscope match
From each person's date (and time) of birth we derive the birth star and check the ten South Indian Poruthams, flagging Rajju or Vedha dosha. Shown separately from the compatibility score.
Shared vibes
Profile prompts and vibe tags show what you have in common beyond the biodata, and empty chats suggest openers based on them.

How does MangalyaMatrimony decide who to show me?
Suggestions stay within your preferred age and height range and are ordered by your compatibility score (how well you fit each other's preferences across 10 weighted factors), plus a bonus for matching Poruthams, how many interests a profile has had accepted and how recently they were active. Profiles you viewed recently move down so you see someone new.
Is MangalyaMatrimony better than Shaadi.com or BharatMatrimony for South Indian families?
It depends on what you value. Pan-India platforms have a much larger total user base. MangalyaMatrimony focuses on Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam families, with 10-Porutham horoscope matching, a transparent compatibility score, in-app video calls and AI photo screening. Does the compatibility score replace horoscope matching?
No. The compatibility score and the 10-Porutham horoscope match are shown separately. Families who follow horoscope matching can weigh the Porutham count themselves; families who don't can ignore it.
Is my data used to train an AI model?
No. Matching doesn't use a trained model, and your photos, chats and contact details are never used for scoring. Photos are only sent to the moderation service for the safety check.
